last year i heard the cast of dexter and true blood were there. and now i heard the cast of glee was in san diego comic con this year… how would I konw who would be there this year in nyc comic con?

The official guest list is at the website (http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/en/NYCC/Guests/). However, it doesn’t really list casts of any tv shows. If they show up, it will probably be as surprise guests on panels related to their shows. The official list of panels is not available yet and won’t be until around September 15, but when it does show up, it will be here: http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/en/NYCC/Events/Panels–Screenings/.

Question: How hard would it be to organize a dinner meet up at Comic Con?
I’m thinking of organizing a fan-run Heroes dinner meet up at Comic Con. How would I go about doing this and how difficult would it be? Thanks! A lot of details, tips, and ideas would be much appreciated.

You might want to wait until the tickets go on sale and people definitely know they are going.

Venues might not let you book in advance during Comic Con because it’s their busiest time but if you had say 12 people and met early enough you should be able to go to the same place at the same time and be sat together. After the con closes it gets crazy around the Gaslamp because everyone is trying to get tables, so you might look for somewhere just outside the Gaslamp quarter.

There’s a Ruth’s Chris Steak House next to the Holiday Inn where we have had Heroes meetups before, they generally have tables but the food is a little more expensive than usual. Another option might be to go to somewhere like the Dublin Square pub which has a raised area at the back of the pub which would be easy enough to monopolise, though you couldn’t really exclude someone from it.

I would ask around in your communities and forums and get an idea of what people want to do. It could be organised through Facebook or Livejournal easily enough.

Question: How would I get Invited To Blizzcon 2010?
I really want to go, even though I live far from California. I heard that Blizzcon was invite only, but it seems a bunch of average people are there. How do they get invites/tickets.

Yeah, this is probably in the wrong category, but oh well.

It’s not invite only. You have to keep checking the Blizzard website. First they will announce when the tickets go on sale (this year tickets went on sale in may for convention in aug), and this year they had two ticket releases. You just need an account to purchase the tickets. And buy them as soon as they are released, this year was sold out in under a minute. Just hope you get into the queue and after that hope there are tickets still available when its your turn to buy. Maybe you should get some friends together each with their own account to get into the virtual queue. This year each person could purchase up to 5 tickets.

Question: How much do you think it would cost to get to BlizzCon from Sacramento?
Heya, me and a friend of mine are both going to try to get to BlizzCon this year and we want to know the cheapest possible route we can take. We can depart from Sacremento and BlizzCon is in Anaheim. I did some rough estimates in my head and round trip including tickets, hotel stay, and food for both of us would run about $ 650…that just doesnt sound right to me. There has to be a cheaper route(We arnt made of money!)

Ok no offense dude but $ 650 sounds pretty freaking good for a trip. If you cant afford $ 650 for a trip then i suggest you not taking it. And if you’ve already tried priceline.com and it came to $ 650 thats good.

Go on priceline.com they book your flight and hotel together and really you get a good deal.

My friend got pay-per-view blizzcon online, and he is getting the Murloc pet soon. I told him he should sell it and be set through for the next 1-2 patches, but he wants to keep it.
